FAQ

CS refers to Composite Score and its made of different Profile Components, CAT Performance, GDPI Performance etc. It’s calculated as per official CS calculation criteria of each Institution. Institutions use this CS to evaluate candidates perfomance among available pool of candidates before making decision for GDPI Calls/Admission Offer.

Minimum CAT Percentile above refers to Minimum CAT percentile of any candidate who got admission offer. You need to note that your CAT score is not the sole determining factor during Admission, Your academic Profile, Achievements, Workex and Performance in GDPI influences your final CS considered for Admission.

It depends on Institutions admission criteria. Some Institutions use CS based shortlisting for their WAT-PI round while some Institutions shortlist candidates subject to fulfilling of set sectional and CAT percentile cutoffs by them.

Each Institution Independently decide their own Admission criteria each year and based on it they proceed with GDPI calls and final Admission Offers.

Yes, Candidates need to file separate Applications each year to be considered eligible for Admissions. Do note that they might have an eligibility criteria, go through it before filling your Application.

Eligiblity cutoffs are the sectional and total CAT percentile cutoffs that a candidate needs to cross to become eligible for further considerations. Some institutions don’t have CS based GDPI shortlisting, they choose candidates for PI based on Eligibility cutoffs. (There are other conditions to be fulfilled by any candidate to be eligible for GDPI considerations and failing to fulfil them might result in disqualification)

  1. The cutoff was 70 for EWS but the least percentile with admision offer is 67 for EWS I mean how it is possible if for shortlisting you want 70 then it means 67 one couldn’t qualify and sit for interview then how come you give offer to 67 I mean explain this to me please

    1. Nice to hear from you, Minimum Percentile data refers to anyone who received a final admission offer under his/her category. You need to take note that IIM Jammu also has SN (Supernumerary) seats for eligible candidates. This might have been the reason for the percentile being lower than general cutoffs. I hope this clears your query, Write back if you need more help.👍

  2. Brother Min Percentile cutoff for EWS is 70 ,but min percentile for admitted candidate is 67 how is this possible? wheather it means that they send shortlist to candidates below cutoff percentile also?

    1. Please do consider that they also consider candidates under SAP admissions process, which might have caused the overall percentile to slide down. I hope this clears your query, write back if you need more help. 👍

    1. Hi Nilesh, Total Admission offers shows the total number of candidates in his/her category who received an admission offere irrespective of the call round i.e merit or waitlist. I hope this clears your query. Write back if you need more help. Thanks 👍

  3. Hii IIMbuddy, Big thanks for publishing this important information. I wanted to know that whether the composite score cutoff for admission offer is limited to the merit list or does it include the score of last waitlist as well??

    1. Hi Siddharth, hope you are doing well. Kindly note that cutoffs are inclusive of all lists which includes merit list and waitlist offers.
I hope this clears your query 👍

    1. Thanks for letting us know, there was an error due to which OBC and EWS numbered got exchanged. It has been fixed and now you can take a look. Thanks 👍

    1. EOI offered is just another way of finding candidates who are still interested in standing in line as Waitlisted for admissions offer. This is done by institutions in order to mitigate unnecessary waitlist movements and related events like withdrawal of amounts etc. Although I dont have any specific data on it but in GEN category once can expect coniderable movement like any other year. Thanks 👍
